About The Hyundai Sonata Seat Belt Recall

What is the recall?

Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain 2011-2014 Sonata and 2011-2015 Sonata Hybrid vehicles. In the affected vehicles, the seat belt linkages for both front seat belts may detach from the seat belt anchor pretensioners.  

What's the risk if I don't bring it in?

In the event a of car wreck, The seat belt may detach from the anchor pretensioners and cause a greater chance of injury.

Will I get a formal notice?

Hyundai plans to begin notifying owners of affected Sonatas on April 7th. You can also find out if your vehicle has been effected by the recall by searching for your VIN number here:
