An exciting change for the
new model year, Hyundai has announced that there will be two versions of
the 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe this year - the traditional five passenger
crossover, now the Santa Fe Sport, and a larger model with three rows,
known as the LWB Santa Fe. The bigger LWB Santa Fe is on a stretched
wheelbase and runs on a V6 engine. Although the
wheelbase of the 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport is unchanged, nearly
everything else has been updated. The redesign allows more legroom in
the back seat and more cargo space- 35 cubic feet with the rear seats in
use. The exterior is even sleeker than previous models. Inside, it
features a redesigned dashboard with higher quality material and
electroluminescent gauges. It's filled with technology features like
Pandora audio, HD radio, and Blue Link. Blue Link is Hyundai's
multimedia connectivity system. The 2013 Hyundai Santa
Fe's base trim is powered by a 190-horsepower, 2.4-liter
direct-injection four cylinder engine. The upgraded option is also a
four cylinder, but is turbocharged and produces 264-horsepower. Both
engines run coupled with a six-speed automatic transmission and promise
to increase fuel economy. It is available in front-wheel-drive or
all-wheel-drive versions. The new Driver Selectable
Steering Mode (DSSM) system is aimed to improve steering. It allows
three operating modes: Comfort, Normal, and Sport. These lower or raise
steering effort by adjusting the assistance level and build-up feeling
depending on the choice. The new 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe
brings energy and fun to the heavily populated crossover segment. It's
loaded with features and sure to carry today's modern family around in
style. |
